Position Overview:

We are looking for a savvy social media content manager to guide and develop the creative content creation process for the Varlo brand. For this role, you will be required to produce creative artistic visuals and manage our social channels for the Varlo brand. You will research and define desired target audiences, manage the artistic content creation and publishing process, and monitor consumer and content metrics.

To ensure success, you should show a keen eye for detail and be highly creative. A skilled content manager should be an expert storyteller and possess excellent knowledge of consumer and content trends.

Social Media Content Manager Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with the product, merchandise, marketing, and sales teams to ideate and define content goals.
  • Researching content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing.
  • Developing content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience and marketing goals.
  • Creating content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites, PR, and social media.
  • Creative storytelling through video and photography.
  • Product photography and creative video capturing to showcase brand story.
  • Managing content calendars and ensuring that the content remains consistent across all platforms.
  • Coordinating with the marketing, product merchandising, and writing teams to ensure the timely delivery of assignments.
  • Tracking consumer and content analytics and generating reports and presentations.
  • General in-house operations duties.
  • Keeping up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.

Social Media Content Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in literature, journalism, marketing, communications, or similar.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in content creation, marketing, communications, or similar.
  • Local to HQ.
  • A portfolio of published work.
  • Good knowledge of content and layout design tools such as Canva, Adobe InCopy, and InDesign.
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Good knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Photography and video making skills.
  • Ideal candidate can be in office 2-3 days a week.
  • General in-house operations capacity.
  • The ability to keep abreast of content and consumer trends and advancements in technology.
